Music Makes You Move

Useful Tips for Buying Rock Music Memorabilia

Music is one of the great motivators… whether it’s working out, just working or dancing the night away… playing the right music can determine how much we enjoy what we are doing.

Music can help to get you in the “zone”, makes you want to move, and can elevate your mood.

Why do we listen to music? Each generation has a different answer. Regardless of the answers both generations can agree that it affects their well-being. This is achieved in different ways… including emotional experiences, and reminiscing.

Perhaps you’ve had a rough day and your relaxing on your couch with your headphones on listening to the latest album from your favorite artist or you’re working out.

Music can be a distraction from pain and fatigue so much that you don’t mind that stitch in your side! It can elevate your mood and increase endurance. Playing an upbeat song can make you work harder, making the time spent working out seem like it flew by.

There’s nothing like listening to the theme from Rocky (Gonna Fly Now), AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long or Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger to get the adrenaline pumping!

While doing yoga or studying what about a quieter playlist, songs such as Yellow by Coldplay, or Stir it Up by Bob Marley?

What about dancing the night away to the latest from Taylor Swift or Justin Bieber, what a great way to hang out with friends, meet new people and get a workout! Dancing can even help improve your balance.

Some say that listening to soft music can slow people down while eating causing them to be more mindful of what they are eating as well as how much they eat.

Some people will listen to music at work in an effort to focus on the tasks at hand, (or to simply block out the guy in the next cubicle that is constantly on the phone!) they say that they are more efficient and are able to come up with more ideas while listening to music as it improved their mood. However, there are some that feel wearing headphones or earbuds all day is perceived as rude, and that people were not doing their job.

Regardless of what you listen to or where you are, there are so many options available in how you listen to music. From Bluetooth speakers (also great for a backyard BBQ!), to Bluetooth earbuds to use with your sport armband for your Smartphone while walking or running as you enjoy the great outdoors.
