A metropolis of style and fashion for this seasons hottest S/S 2014 looks took place on Saturday the 05th of April 2014 at the Famagusta Gate Nicosia. Moi Ostrov brings you this years Elite shows highlights:
Marilia Economou’ s 212 Creations designs were with her signature tribal look offering ragged edges, muslin kaftan dresses teamed with heavy, flat soled leather boots that gave a festival look fling to it whilst models looked sexy with an alive attitude. Marilia’s collection evolved around black, white and grey basics with draped jerseys including tuscany bright orange. Her play with a Parisian Chic dress didn’t go uknowtest either; with blue, red and white stripes that had a nautical appeal. Clothes Designer Marilia Economou defines in this collection that it’s ok to be a rebel with a chic cause.

Everything was looped and turned in MAZE by Lily Orthodoxia’ s summer 2014 selection of accessories that took an individual turn to rounding up things on earrings, bangles, rings and necklaces in summery shades of white, Tuscany orange and gold. An exotic and vibrant interpretation for this summer’s looks by Lily Orthodoxia’s stunning collection of intangible pieces that will update any outfit in no time with this summer’ s blaze by MAZE.
Carpe Diem summer collection resembled a colour box full of mix eye-popping prints, florals and aztec with a boost by the accompanying accessories of MAZE by Lily Orthodoxia. Block colours were encrypted into each of the looks either on the top or bottom with bright coral, tie dye, sky blue turquoise and lime yellow vamped up with animal prints. Lots of loose styles with wide legged pants, harem trousers, followed on by more structured pieces with body clinging top and skirt teamed with a beautiful bomber jacket. Even so; the floatiness’ kept on appearing with the one shoulder punchy leopard print dress which meant more dash than clash; that diverged from the rest of the designs. Carpe Diem enhanced the importance on how to be a style chameleon with this lively mix of colour and print accents.
Ladylike ageless styles by Litus Studio with off the shoulder dresses and jumpsuits in nude pastel baby pink that enhanced that candlelit dinner for two at your favorite restaurant concept. Romance was definitely the key for this collection highlighted by the rows of chiffon elegantly hanging off and on the models shoulders, embellished sequins with lost of sparkle and gorgeous bridal gowns. Not forgetting the enduring parade of grass green, coral oranges, bright reds and cobalt blue palettes. A selection of elegant clothes that relish the timeless appeal of fashion; making us champions of this ageless style. Litus Studio shows us how to be fantastically appropriate for all formal occasions lavishing you into true style triumph.
Designer’s Pavlina Evgeniou’ s summer wear was short at length and simple. Clothes were transformed into modern works of art with pleated skirt and sleek neutral colours of pastel sky blue and white shades on ensamples. Cool and crisp designs but with an futuristic edge to them of strong architectural shapes that ramped up the glam factor with platform heels that brought a balance to that architectural silhouette. Pavlina Evgeniou’ s collection proves to us that you don’t have to over do it as neutral tones and minimalist inspired looks can keep things contemporary and chic at the same time.
Olesia Leonidou played with shapes and layering with innovated designs in minimal cuts and a minimal colour range. A very urban take with a mix of textures with super soft cottons and wisps of leather. A clever display of layers ending in dynamic creativity with this collaboration designed by Olesia Leonidou.
Totsi by Tota Patsalidou showcased off her designs with youthful romance classics. Hosting an infusion of Hawaiian florals and prints onto polite and girly dresses that remained just above the knee. A non stop of fresh hues that helped interlock the patterns onto the textiles. The collection had a 1950’s vintage summer look to it which was both fitting and flattering for all shapes and sizes. A decade of sleeveless A-Line dresses that are just as reassuringly eternal as a vintage dress.
