Cyprus flag on top of Mount Everest
Ukrainian-Cypriot climber Yevgen Staroselskiy on the 24th May reached the top of Mount Everest and raised the flag of Cyprus on the “Roof of the World”! The journey took Evgeny 44 days of the actual expedition with 7.5 hours of climbing from the camp at 8300 to the summit at 8848m making him the second Cypriot (the first was George Andreou ) in the history of the island who conquered legendary Everest. But Evgeny was the first one from the island citizens to use a more difficult Noth Col route. Well done, Evgeny! And Congratulations!
