The American Academy Limassol – Paphos moving forward
During difficult times we must remember that our children are the future
The American Academy Limassol and Paphos is active in the educational sector for fifteen years, embracing modern concepts and methods of teaching. Until today they operate 4 nursery schools, 2 primary schools, 3 schools secondary education summer and winter schools, afternoon institutes, a support teaching centre and in addition provided educational services abroad in over 10 countries.
Responding to the growing economic crisis, social problems and current challenges, the American Academy administration is expanding its activities locally and abroad, signing significant agreements with large organizations in the education field such as:
- University of Greenwich to create a Foundation Course in Cyprus to prepare students to secure a position at any University in the UK
- Medical University KURSK Russia, creating a Foundation Course to prepare students with guaranteed place for studies in Medicine
- Contractual obligation with an organization of Saudi Arabia to export expertise in the establishment and operation of large schools
- School 1959 in Moscow and other regional institutions for a variety of educational activities
The management also is looking into long distance creative programmes for bigger age groups and is an active participant in international education fairs in many countries in Europe, Asia and Africa to attract students to the Summer and Winter schools, thus promoting Cyprus and the American Academy.
In addition to the above, the American Academy continues its social and cultural contribution through sponsorships, volunteer work, scholarships and selected projects which reflect the vision of the academy for a better society an expression of values and a broader internationalized environment.
